Brook and Derek's Wedding

Two weekends ago I made the voyage down to Martha's Vineyard for my first wedding gig of 2010! My wonderful fiance agreed to come along and be my assistant (and part-time second shooter) for the day and I definitely couldn't have done it without her! To say it was a long day is an understatement. We were out the door at 5:15 am and were in bed at 11:45 that night! Special thanks to our friends Dave and Linely for not only recommending me for the wedding gig, but also for being our island hosts once again!

As far as the wedding day goes, I don't think the bride and groom could have asked for a more beautiful day. Sunny skies, cool weather, and probably the most short & sweet ceremony I've ever witnessed (just the way I like em!). Brooke and Derek are such a genuinely nice and laid back couple so needless to say I had a blast capturing their special day. Here is their wedding teaser from the day!!

And my first impressions of shooting a wedding with the 7D = AWESOME! It's low light capabilities really shine during the receptions which are typically really dark and a challenge to shoot.

  1. The video was really amazing, and I can guess that the wedding was even better. Seems like all who attended had a great time at the event. I myself had quite a wonderful experience at my best friend’s wedding last week at one of the best NYC wedding venues. The reception lasted till late night so we had a lot of fun partying.
