Sorry for the slacking folks! Been running at 100mph the last few months, I havent even done much Xmas shopping and it's 4 days away!
First up is a highlight video from Maren and Alex's amazing CT wedding!! Such a fun couple to work with and I wish them all the best as they start their life as man and wife!! It was especially awesome getting to work with Ashley Therese Photography again!! I'm a huge fan of wedding photogs who are always conscious of the videographer, making sure we are getting what we need on film too!
Second up is a highlight video from Emily and Tal's wedding at Butternut Farm! My soon to be sister-in-law was the maid of honor at this wedding and gave an amazing speech! Emily and Tal are such an adorable couple and it was tough not tearing up as they saw each other for the first time as Emily walked down the aisle!
It was great getting to work with Kelly Dillon Photography and Pink Orchid Weddings for the first time! Kelly takes some amazing photos and Emilie has completely blown me away with her attention to detail as a wedding planner!

Laura + Ben
Laura and Ben's wedding in CT took place this summer on probably one the hottest and most humid weekends of the year. Needless to say, there were plenty of air conditioners on hand in the church, on the party bus (somewhat), and at the reception. They had a hilarious photo booth setup, a huge spread of tasty cupcakes, and celebrated with the night away with their friends and family! I especially loved their HUGE cupcake they cut together!
Enjoy their wedding video!
One of my favorite shot's of their video is following them as they were introduced at the reception. Laura and Ben opted to have two videographers for their coverage and it definitely allowed us to get creative and cover those moments from two different angles.

Emily and Brian - 4.28.11
Emily and Brian were married at the GORGEOUS Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA on May 28, 2011. Mother nature almost ruined the beautiful opportunity for an outdoor ceremony but thankfully the sun came out just in time for the bride and groom to exchange their vows on the grounds overlooking the spotless and manicured hills of the venue. I loved their photo session because the guests had a great vantage point from the barns' deck to watch pictures unfold & converse with the bridal party, something that rarely happens during the cocktail hour/picture sessions.
After the photo session, the party moved inside for a gorgeous barn reception with a fun night of dancing and celebrating. Again, I'm a sucker for barn receptions since my wedding reception will also be in a barn!
Capturing moments as they happen naturally is one of my big goals with shooting weddings, I rarely 'stage' shots unless I think they will really add to the video. I was really pumped to get the groom and his groomsmen lighting up cigars on the deck on film (thanks to my amazing fiance/assistant for giving me the heads up!).
Here's to many years of happiness for Emily & Brian!

Donna & Mike
Here is the full wedding video from Donna & Mike's gorgeous wedding! Their ceremony was held in an AMAZING church near Harvard Square (seriously didn't even realize it was there all those years of working in the area!) with an awesome rooftop cocktail hour overlooking the Charles River and the city skyline. Can't say enough of how fun Donna & Mike were to work with, I LOVE when a bride and groom danced their pants off the entire night!

M.F.G.M: Steff & Derrick
M.F.G.M = My Friends Got Married!!
I am at the stage of my life when friends are having kids, buying houses, and most excitingly (for Lucent Weddings)....getting married! On top of the 7 weddings I am filming this year, I have 6 awesome couples/friends that are getting married. Attending a wedding and NOT filming a little video is damn near impossible, so I'll be sharing some of my personal footage that I shot in these "MFGM" posts!
Steff and Derrick were married last weekend in gorgeous Old Saybrook, CT at a gorgeous inn. When your friends get married, it's a safe bet that there will be other people there that you know. In the case of our group of friends, this meant that pretty much our entire circle of college friends were there! A beautiful bride, dapper groom, and a great celebration with friends pretty much sums up the weekend! Apologies to the hotel staff for having to put up with our crazy group!
One of my favorite parts of the day had to be the first dance. The bride and groom had a close friend sing their song live and she knocked it OUT OF THE PARK! (even despite a miscue by the DJ) Congrats to Steff and Derrick and enjoy the honeymoon!!
*Disclaimer* All footage in the "MFGM" posts were shot on my own and not as hired help, so please don't judge too harshly! Most of it is shot handheld without a tripod, shotgun microphone, or fancy steadicam. Also, there's a good chance footage was shot after a few drinks! :)

Kate and Dave::9.18.10
Picture perfect. That's how I would describe Kate and Dave's beautiful wedding this past fall. Gorgeous & sunny day, foliage colors that were popping quite perfectly, an adorable couple, and a barn reception. My fiance and I are ALSO having a barn reception for our wedding so this was even more exciting for us to experience the rustic setting of the barn.
I have know Dave for many years now through my career as a mountain bike videographer. Dave and I have worked closely on many shoots, but those would involve him riding his bike down rugged terrain or pulling off tricks 20 feet in the air. So filming him on his wedding day was a new dynamic for us, but like always we are a well oiled machine!
I had not met Kate until that morning of her wedding because she is stationed overseas as a Nurse in the US Army, and always thought how tough it must be for her and Dave to be apart so much of the year. But I could immediately see the strong bond and love that Kate and Dave have for each other, there's no distance that could ever stop these two!
On to the important stuff, the video!!
This was shot with two videographers for most of the day which is always less stressful because I'm not worried about missing shots!
Congrats again to Dave and Kate, here's to many years of love and happiness! I hope you guys are enjoying your winter together!
